Volunteers are the heart of Humane Society Yukon. From raising money, to serving on the board of directors, to helping out with the animals at the Mae Bachur Animal Shelter, there's plenty of work to be done.

We have lots of dogs who loved to be walked consider becoming a dog walker!

At the Shelter

The Mae Bachur Animal Shelter relies on volunteers for the following activities:

  • Dog walking
  • Socialization (dogs and cats)
  • Grooming

Even if it's just half an hour of cuddles with one of the shelter residents, every little bit helps.

Bring a completed Volunteer Application into the shelter, and the staff will be happy to help you get started.
