Adopting an Animal
The Mae Bachur Animal Shelter takes in hundreds of animals each year. Each of these animals needs food and shelter while they await the next stage of their lives: adoption. The staff at the shelter work diligently to match each animals with a suitable home. Much of that work is done with the animals themselves, including teaching basic manners, housebreaking, and socialization.
The shelter also works to ensure prospective adoptive families are a good fit for the animals they want to adopt, through an adoption guide,
our shelter staff will also go through the questionnaire (formerly the adoption application) with potential adopters.
Adoption Fees
Adoption fees for dogs and cats include:
- Spay/Neuter
- Vaccinations while in shelter
- Deworming
- Vet technician checkup while in shelter
- Micro-chipping
