Large Mixed Breed

Meet Xena Xena is around 2 years old, she is tall and dark and will be stunning when she fills out and puts on a few pounds. We believe that Xena is a shepherd cross, but have very little background on her as she was originally found running at large. Xena is full of energy and exuberance, she is incredibly affectionate. She's very sweet, but she will need someone committed to training as she doesn't know all that much, however she is eager to please and very trainable. Xena would likely be fine with other dogs with proper introductions as we have not noticed much dog reactivity here. We can't say how she would be with cats, but might be fine. She is big and bouncy so might not be ideal for small children until she has learned more basic manners, but she would do well with an active family. Her new adopter should have a safe fenced yard and be prepared to keep her on a leash or long line for awhile as she apparently had a history of escaping, although her goal when escaping was to get to people.
