Ziggy

Description

Meet Ziggy!!!

Ziggy is a large 18 month old male lab cross. He is around 90lbs.

Ziggy is a lovely dog, he gets along with other dogs and children. We do not know how he would be with cats. Ziggy has just been neutered and is ready to find his new home.

He did have a large amount of quills removed from his face, neck and legs a few weeks ago and there are still a few popping out here and there, so this will need to be monitored a bit.

His adoption fee is $400

Baby Blue

Description

Meet Baby Blue!!!

Baby is the first of our 5 blue litter pups available for adoption.

He is the biggest of the group, but can also be the shyest. Baby and his sibling all had parvo, but have fully recovered.

Baby is a 6 month old Great Pyrenees cross. He will be a large dog when fully mature. He has a lovely temperament and would likely be fine with other dogs, kids and possibly cats.

Please keep in mind that livestock guardian dogs are a particular sort of dog and they do best on properties that they can patrol and guard. While they are not aggressive they can easily develop strong guarding instincts. If in a city home they will need training, continual socialization and enrichment.

Baby has just been neutered and is ready for his new home.

His adoption fee is $500

The Pasta Litter - In Foster

Description

These 13 pups are now 13 weeks old.

They are mixed breed dogs that will likely be medium sized. They are cattle dog crossed.

They are being fostered by Tagish Lakes Kennels. Please reach out to Michelle at tagishsleddog@gmail.com

‘These pups are super sweet and very smart. They love going for daily adventures. They are well socialized having met hundreds of people of all ages while growing up at Tutshi Sled Dog Tours.

They don’t have house training yet as they’ve spent their lives outside. One of their handlers has adopted one of the puppies and she is happy to say he always tells her when he needs to go outside. He’s never had an accident inside. They are very smart and have no problem expressing their needs.

They have excellent recall as their handler has worked with them using a treat can on walks.

They have socialized with full grown dogs daily but have yet to meet other animals.

These pups are going to be excellent pets who have so much love to give!’

Gypsy

Description

The lovely Gypsy is still looking for a home, whether adoptive or foster.

Gypsy is a large dog, she retired from sled dog work in Dawson after suffering injury. She has been diagnosed with bilateral cruciate ligament tears. She is maintained on daily metacam and limited exercise. Gypsy would do best in a single dog home, or perhaps with a male dog.

She is not reactive and is fine on walks with other dogs, as well as interacting with most dogs. She just does not love living with other female dogs. She was in a foster with a cat and had no issues with the cat. She has excellent manners on leash and has been to a few of our BBQ's and other events as she's so pleasant.

She has good manners in a house and loves to snuggle. She is also very happy to be outside. She has been very quiet at the shelter. She is a truly amazing dog that deserves a long term home. If you would like to meet her, please reach out. Her adoption fee is 200$ (to reflect the ongoing meds and vet care she may need

Chica - In Foster

Description

Meet Chica!!! - In Foster

Chica is a 4yr old spayed shepherd cross. She is around 50lbs. Chica has just gone through a front limb amputation. Her sutures have been removed and she is making a great recovery. She does have one med she will need to be on for a little while and should be followed up by a vet to reassess the long term need for this.

Chica should be in a home that can manage a front limb tripawd as they do have added wear and tear on their bodies. Diet and supplements are important to allow her to have a healthy life. Chica would currently do best in a home with no cats or other dogs.

She does not love having young children around at the moment and we recommend a home with teens and up. Chica is figuring out her new normal and it does make her feel vulnerable around too much action and noise. She is incredibly sweet and loves people. Chica is ready to find the perfect home. Her adoption fee is 400$
