Ninja

Description

Meet Ninja!! -- Ninja is a very large Akita/Malamute cross. He is 4yrs old and nuetered. Ninja would like a home with space, he loves to play catch me if you can and can be extremely sweet. It is recommended that he find a home without small dogs or cats. He can be avoidance of eye contact and does not like certain types of handling. We would recommend a home without kids or with older kids. He can get along with other dogs with proper introductions. We love Ninja here but he needs to find his perfect home. His adoption fee is 400$

Banjo - IN FOSTER

Description

Meet Banjo!! Banjo is a neutered 2.5yr old pitbull/husky cross. He was surrendered due to severe allergies and was loved. His previous owners had this to say about him. "Banjo is a 2.5-year-old Husky/Pit mix who’s equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle companion. He loves being outside, exploring, and going for walks—but once he’s burned off some energy, he’s more than happy to settle in and relax with his people. He’s smart (honestly, a little too smart sometimes 😄), knows his basics like sit, come, lay down and wait, he understands heel once he settles into the walk. Banjo bonds closely with his person(s) and requires some structure and routine. In a home, he settles in well and becomes a loyal, affectionate dog. He was deeply loved. He was surrendered due to family allergies—not because of behavior" Banjo would be suitable in many homes. His adoption fee is 400$

Shane

Description

FOSTER FEATURE - SHANE

Shane is the last of our 6 husky pups. He is a pretty timid guy that will need a really special home. He needs time and patience and would do best in a home with a confident dog to help him learn.

Shane will be in foster until Saturday and then he will need to return to the shelter. If you are interested in him please reach out.

Here is what his foster says about him.

"Shane is a goofy, adorable young pup who is slowly discovering the joys of puppyhood. He came to us extremely timid, and would freeze and shake in fear. We had to carry him in and out of the house and keep him tied up so we could get to him. Over the past two and half weeks he's made pretty big strides. He's comfortable on one level of the house and in our backyard, and he comes in and out on his own. He sleeps through most of the night and knows to do his business outside, with the occasional accident. He loves playing with our dogs and loves toys of all kinds! He throws them around and pounces on them. He's also good with our two cats. He tries to play with one of them but respects their limits.

Shane continues to be quite weary of people and is also terrified of leashes/rope, as well as confined spaces. He will accept pets on his head and neck when he's in a safe space (on the dog bed in our living room) and he will come sniff and even lick our hands if we're sitting still. Today alone he made huge strides in that he came on the couch with me and my dogs, and even played a bit with me and a toy. He's also moving more freely around the house and following me around, although keeping a safe distance. He is food motivated, although depending on the amount of fear, it's not always enough. He also knows his name, and knows the words outside and food 🙂

Shane would likely do best in a house without kids. He would be great with other dogs, and good with cats. We think he'll be a great outdoor companion once he can work past his fear of the leash. A fenced backyard would also be idea so he can have some space and freedom"

Mikey

Description

Meet Mikey. At 5 months old he is ready for his home! He is a hound cross. We were told dad may have been a Cane Corso.

Mikey - Available!!!

He will be a good adventure dog for an active family, however please think about the breeds.. hounds can be quite stubborn and their noses can rule them. Cane Corso's can be quite protective, but with homes commited to training he will be awesome. His adoption fee is 500$

Flint

Description

Flint is a approx 2yr old male neutered dog. Flint is a large dog, he is currently reactive to other dogs, but that can often be worked on as he is not happy in a shelter enviroment and he has not been here long. He is also a bit of an escape artist so will need a home with a secure outdoor space and a commiment to keeping him leashed. Flint would suit a active home, preferably with older kids and we do not know how he is with cats. Flint would thrive in a home commited to training. His adoption fee is 400$

Mya

Description

Myah is a 6yr old spayed female malamute.

She is Imala’s daughter. Myah is a bit nervous and timid and would do well with a family that can take things slow with her and go a her pace. Like Imala.. Myah will need to be in a home with a secure fenced yard or kennel and will need to be kept on leash as she will run if she gets away. She also had some harness training in the past. Probably not a good fit with cats or small animals, would be good with most other dogs with proper introductions and good with kids. Her adoption fee is 400$

Imala - IN FOSTER

Description

Meet Imala, Imala is a 7yr old female spayed malamute.

She has had some harness and sled dog training in the past. She was a strong leader. Imala is a lovely dog, she would likely be fine with other dogs with proper introductions. She will need to be kept in a safe fenced yard or kennel and on leash for the first while as she will escape and run. Probably not a good fit with cats as she does have prey drive, but would be good with kids. Her adoption fee is 400$
