Meet Blue,
Blue is a lovely 4yr old spayed rottweiler mix. She is good with kids and other dogs, loves to go for runs and has been loved and cared for throughout her life. She apparently does chase cats, so a home without cats would be ideal. Blue would be the perfect addition to an active family that enjoys hiking and camping. Her adoption fee is 400$
Meet Wheat,
Wheat is a 2yr old cattle dog cross. He is medium sized, about 40lbs. Wheat came in with his mom Roti. Roti has since found her forever home and now Wheat is looking for his. Some things you NEED to know about Wheat.
He has a heart murmur and heart disease, it is level 2/3, and at this point he does not need meds and was able to be safely neutered. However he will need checkups every 9-12 months and his new owners should be aware that the heart disease may progress, he may need meds in the future, and his life span may be less than it otherwise could have been. We recommend that he is booked for a consultation with his new family's vet soon after adoption. Otherwise Wheat is a healthy guy.
He is a bit nervous and unsure, but very sweet and tries hard. He would benefit from a home that will spend time, use positive reinforcement training and go at his pace for new things. Wheat will likely be ok with other dogs with proper introductions. We are not sure about cats, and would probably be best suited to a home with older kids. His adoption fee is 400$
Meet Rodger Dodger,
Rodger Dodger is a big yellow lab mix. He came from bylaw so we don’t know much about his past. He is fairly non reactive to dogs, and would probably adjust to a home with cats. He is very strong and very high energy and is a dog that will need ongoing training and enrichment. He would be fine with kids, but he is large and exuberant and might not be suited to young kids at this time. An active home with a commitment to ongoing training would be ideal. Rodgers adoption fee is 400$
Meet Grizzly,
Grizzly is the mama bear to our bear litter. Grizzly is estimated to be around 3yrs of age. She is a big lab type mix, she weighs close to 80lbs. She is not terribly reactive to most other dogs, so she would probably be fine in a home with dogs with proper introductions. We are not sure how she would be with cats as she has never been exposed to them here. She has been around kids and would be ideal for an active family that can also put training time into her. Her adoption fee is 400$

Farley is IN FOSTER
Unfortunately Farley’s foster did not end up working out. Farley was a little too interested in the cat, he also showed some food aggression and became possessive of his foster mom.
The ideal home for Farley is an adult home with no cats, preferably no other dogs, although he does seem to get along better with female dogs, so may do ok with one, but will need to be fed separately.
Farley has shown that he will get into vehicles and loved going to the lake with his foster. When given the choice about going in or out of the house, he will often choose to come in. Farley is extremely unhappy at the shelter and we really need to find him a long term situation. Please reach out if you think you can offer that to him.
Farley’s adoption fee is 400$
Meet Charlie, Charlie will be going into his 7th month at the shelter. Charlie is a 6yr old male husky cross. He is a lovely, happy affectionate boy, but he does have some specific needs when it comes to finding him his perfect home. Charlie is dog reactive, and while we know he can live with other dogs, it would likely have to be a very particular dog with a long introduction, for this reason we feel he should be in a only dog home. His reactivity has calmed down somewhat since Missy has been adopted, but its still there. He is good to walk, and enjoys long hikes and runs, but I would say he may always need to on leash or a longline. He can be reactive to dogs passing him on the trail but he is controllable and easily redirected. We know he lived with a cat in a past life, so he may be fine with them again with proper introduction. Charlie needs to be in a home without kids. He has some body guarding habits around his feed being handled and he snapped at a child who accidently stepped on his foot. With people that he knows and trusts he is fine for having his feet lifted in and out of a harness and will offer shake a paw. But we think a quiet home where is the single dog would be best. We would also be happy to find a foster home for Charlie as well. Seven months in the shelter is too long. Lets get this boy a home.
