I’m a high energy, rambunctious puppy! I like to run around and play hard. I’m pretty vocal too! I like to talk to you but eventually I settle down and sleep. I would do best in an active home, one committed to training me so I can be the best girl possible.

Hi, I’m Minnie! I’m a 5 month old mixed breed female. 

 

I’m back from my summer break at Wild Adventure Yukon! I’m a sweet, quiet girl. I would do best with a family who has a big piece of property for me to roam. Despite being a puppy, I am fairly relaxed. Just like any young dog I will need a family who is committed to training me to make sure I can be the best girl possible.

Hi, I’m Lily! I’m a 9 month old husky mix female. 

 

I’m a very sweet, high energy pup. I will need a home who is active and will take me on hikes and lots of outdoor adventures! Although I am high energy, I’m still quite affectionate and love to get some pets and neck scratches. I know how to sit and I come well to my name but my future family will need to help me with the rest. I’m food motivated so it will make things easier!

Hi, I’m Bridget! I’m a 10 month old mixed breed female. 

 

I’m a silly, goofy girl. I’ve got a sweet, puppylike face and I love to stare at you when I think you have snacks for me. I like to excitedly hop instead of run, it’s one of my many quirks! At the shelter, I have been a little defensive of my food around other dogs and can get frustrated when they have food I don’t have. My future family will need to monitor this and work with me. If there are other animals, I should be fed away from them until I have worked through this. Despite that though, I’m a bundle of joy with the people working here. I’m slowly but surely gaining confidence and showing them how silly I can be!

I have diagnosed with elbow dysplasia, it causes me to hop when I walk and run. My future home will need to monitor it as I get older to make sure I am not too bothered by it. Right now, it isn't impeding my day to day life.

Hi, I’m Zola! I’m a 4 year old mixed breed female. 

 

I’m back, I was not a good fit in my home. I was not good with the livestock I was around! 

 

I’m the sweetest girl ever! When you come in to visit me, I just want you to give me all the pets. I love to play fetch, I will rotate between wanting your attention and wanting you to throw my ball. I need to be in a home without small animals, my instinct to chase is just too high. I have a pretty calm, gentle nature so I would likely do well in a home with children.

Hi, I’m Zuri! I’m a 1 year old husky/lab female. 

 

I’m a special girl who needs a special home. When I first got to the shelter, I was very fearful and overstimulated. It was very hard for me to transition to being cared for here and I still struggle some days. The staff are working with me on getting me comfortable with having a leash on and trying to work with me on not mouthing people when I’m overwhelmed. I really love toys, especially balls so a good way to help me redirect my energy is with those. I also love treats! I’m incredibly food motivated. I will need a calm, quiet home with no children. I need a family who will help me with my confidence building and help work with me through my anxiety.

Hi, I’m Pastrami! I’m a 3 year old domestic short hair female. 

 

I’m a quiet girl who likes to observe you from above. My favourite thing to do in the cat room is sit on top of the kennels or sit up high in the cat tree and gaze out the window while basking in the sun. I need you to approach me gently and let me give your hands a good sniff before you pet me. I’m now comfortable and don’t hide but I do still love to lounge up above. I’m going to need a quiet home with places for me to hide, preferably high up so I can still keep an eye on what’s going on! I would like to be adopted with Chicken. 

 

I have been diagnosed with having focal seizures, it is being managed with medication and things are feeling a lot better for me! It will be something my future family needs to keep in mind. The medication costs about $50 a month.

Hi, I’m Po! I’m a 6 year old domestic short hair female. 

 

My foster mom has written up a little update for me! I’m making a lot of progress. 

 

When she first brought me home, she was nervous of me because I was uneasy and afraid. I spent the first 3 days hiding on top of the cupboard, my foster mom brought me food and water and left them for me there. I was scared and would scratch her to establish my boundaries. 

 

I have really started to blossom after 2 months in her home. I meet her at the door every day when she gets home! I play well with myself and like to chase my own tail but I do need to be played with by my person.  I would thrive in a calm quiet environment with someone who will give me time to trust and love. 

 

The way I show love is by wanting to exist around you, I’m not huge on cuddling but like to coexist with you! When you’re gone, I don’t destroy things.

 

I am on a special diet of urinary care food to prevent me from having any blockages from stress. 

 

Likes: watching birds outside, cozy blankets, sunny spots, observing from up high

Dislikes: new situations and not having my boundaries respected
