Neechee

Description

Meet Neechee!! - Neechee is a 1yr old male Akita cross. He is the best boy and deserves a family of his own. He is good with kids, other dogs and might be ok with cats. However, Akita's can have very high prey drive and are not always able to live with cats, so you would need to consider that. Neechee has good manners and is lovely to walk on lead, he would probably also be a great recreational ski jour buddy. He is nuetered and ready to find his family. If you are interested in meeting him, please come into the shelter. His adoption fee is 400$

Maggie

Description

Meet Maggie!!! Maggie is a 1yr old medium sized cattle dog/rottweiller. Maggie is a lovely, sweet dog. However she does have a fair bit of anxiety and is currently on anxiety meds. She did not have the best start to her life, after being rescued she was being cared for by people that loved her and wanted to keep her but they where unable to manage her separation anxiety, which manifested as destructive behavior. Maggie has been fairly easygoing at the shelter and has shown no destructive behavior here. However she is always around other dogs and we feel that she would likely do well in a home with a confident dog to help her. She would probably be best in a home with older children, solely due to her current anxiety. She is good to take on walks and loves people. If you are someone committed to ongoing training, with patience and perhaps another confident dog... you might be the home Maggie needs. She has now been spayed and is ready to find a new home. Her adoption fee is 400$

Hannah Montana

Description

Meet Hannah Montana! - Hannah is an aprox 1-2yr old female German Shepherd. She is a smaller fairly fine boned shepherd. Hannah is a really lovely dog, she is the mother of the Hannah Montana litter and this girl has been through a lot. She contracted Parvo when her babies did and it was pretty touch and go for her over the week she was sick, then after starting to recover she got mastitis. She was a amazing patient and mama, even with all the pain she was in. We have all fallen in love with Hannah and want to find her the best home. Hannah has fully recovered and was just spayed. She would suit many types of homes, she would be fine with other dogs with proper intros. She might be ok with cats, but we can't comment on that. She would be food with kids. Her adoption fee is 400$

Sascha In Foster

Description

FOSTER FEATURE!!! Meet Sasha! Sascha is a 1yr old female spayed German Shepherd. She has been in foster for the last 3/4 months and her foster had intended to adopt her, however life changes happened and she cannot. Sasha is a lovely dog that would thrive with ongoing training. What her foster says about her " Sasha is a high energy, active girl who loves being outdoors with her people. She enjoys walks, hikes, sniffing, digging in the snow, and exploring new trails. She walks well on leash once she gets her zoomies out and settles into the walk. She will often circle back to check in. She especially enjoys being on a long line where she has a bit more freedom to roam, run, and follow her nose. She enjoys scent work and likes to have “a job.” Sascha is excellent in the car and will lie down and fall asleep during rides. At home, she was living with a cat and has shown no aggression or prey drive towards him, only curiosity (wanting to check him out/ smell him). They’ve spent time in the same room together and she is able to ignore him and settle. She is housetrained, particularly once a consistent routine is established. Sascha is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves belly rubs, playing with her toys, and being close to her people. She truly craves connection and enjoys being around others and in a home where she is interacted with consistently. Sascha can “sit”, “lie down”, and has been working on her recall. On leash, she can be reactive to other dogs (barking, jumping, pulling), but when properly introduced, she has not shown aggression, just excitement and eagerness to play. She formed a lovely friendship with my neighbours’ senior female Elkhound and they enjoyed regular walks together. A home with another playful dog, with proper introductions, could potentially be a great outlet for her energy. She does not bark excessively and has not shown signs of separation anxiety when left alone during the work day. Sascha would thrive in an active home, ideally with multiple people, such as a family with older children or a couple). She is very intelligent, learns quickly, and has a lot of potential for someone who is excited to continue building on her training. Just a couple other things fyi… she does still try and lunge when cars drive by. Ive been working on having her sit and wait until the cars pass but we aren’t totally there yet. She also still likes to jump up when she’s excited and can still be a bit mouthy when petting her or she’s looking for attention, so probably best to have a home without small children". Please reach out if you would like to meet her. She is currently in foster in Atlin. But will also be returning to the shelter in the next 2 weeks. Her adoption fee is 400$

Ava

Description

Meet Ava!! Ava is a Yakutian laika/Seppala Siberan cross. She is a stunning and lovely dog. She is 3yrs old. Her previous owner described her as "mildly energetic, goofy, mischievous, shy, gentle, and playful. She is a good dog but not great training with sit or obey or recall. She will be mischievous. She isn't good with cats or any livestock/any pets (she has a high prey drive) , wary of strangers and escapist artists… she will run the door when it open, or digging or panicking the become self destruction due anxiety separation, however she cuddles , is clingy, likes hiking, playing, and is good with kids and dogs. She loves the beach, snow and running" Ava would make someone active the perfect adventure buddy. Her adoption fee is 400$

Sassette Smurf

Description

FOSTER FEATURE Meet Sassette Smurf! Sassette is a 18 week old German Shepherd Cross puppy. She was in the group of puppies that came into our care with a possible Parvo exposure, she was the only puppy that contracted Parvo. She spent a day in the ICU at the vets and recovered well. She was then quarantined for awhile, after being cleared she went into foster. She is available to adopt through foster. What her foster has to say about her "This Little Fluff Ball will steal your heart. She is very playful. Her favorite thing to do is annoy her Big Foster Brother and Sister. She would do really well in a house with another dog- she loves them so much. It took awhile but she is no longer afraid of us humans:) Potty Training is going okay but could be better. She has "met" a cat but the cat did not like her -lol. She is getting so much better on our walks, and she will be a hiking companion in no time. It takes her time to get to know a new human but once she does she will be asking for belly rubs. She is a great little fluff ball and we are better people having to get to know her 🙂" Please reach out if you would like to meet her. Her adoption fee is 500$
