Waylon Wyatt - In foster call for a meet

Description

Meet Waylon Wyatt AKA double W,

Waylon is a large 1yr old GSD cross. He is absolutely stunning with his long golden coat, and he has a temperament to match. He will need some ongoing training but so far in the shelter he has shown very little reactivity towards other dogs, or our shelter cat.

He would likely be fine with kids as well. An active family committed to training and enrichment would be ideal with Waylon. His adoption fee is 400$

Meatball

Description

Meet Meatball,

Meatball is a 9 month old German Shepherd cross, he has a long coat that will need regular grooming. He is just a young guy and would be fine in a home with other dogs, cats and kids with proper introductions. He does look a little sad in the picture because I woke him up from his nap to take his picture.

He would be well suited to an active family. He has been neutered and is ready to find his forever home. His adoption fee is 500$

Monty

Description

Meet Monty,

Monty is a very large 5yr old cat. Monty is likely looking for a quiet home where his space is respected, he has been around dogs and other cats and kids, although he has scratched kids in the past so would likely prefer a home without small children.

He is a little bit chubby, so would do well with someone committed to helping him manage his weight.

His adoption fee is 350$

Jack Daniels

Description

Meet Jack Daniels!

We are reaching out to our amazing community to find the perfect foster home for Jack.. or adoption if the right home is out there. Jack is a lovely 2yr old mixed breed dog, hes on the large side and weighs around 60 lbs. We don't know much about his history as he was a bylaw dog.

Jack has been good in the shelter, but he has had a few minor incidents on walks that would need to be discussed with any potential adopters or foster homes. He's not a snuggly dog, he does not seek out human touch, he does not like eye contact. He is easily over stimulated, he is quite dog reactive, but he is able to get along and go for walks one other dog here, hes probably a no for cats, and he would not do well in a home with children.

The ideal foster home would be a experienced single person or couple, with a quiet home. Having him in a foster home and out of the shelter will give us a better idea of what he's like in the real world. Which would help us figure out what he needs in a adoptive home.

He has had a evaluation with Wise Canine and we can provide ongoing support for training as well. All supplies are provided by us for our foster families. Reach out if you think he will fit in with you at home!

Farley

Description

Meet Farley,

Farley has been in foster for a week now and we have a lot more information about what the ideal home would look like for him. Farley is happy to go inside and outside in his foster home, he loves to be near his foster mom, but having the choice to be inside or outside is important to him.

With his foster and the other dogs in the home he is happy to go in a vehicle and he loves going to the lake. He has gotten along well with the female dogs in the house, however he has been more dominant with the male and would be best suited to home with a female dog as opposed to a male.

He is in a home with a cat, but has shown strong prey drive towards the cat, so he needs to be in a home without cats. We do know that he has lived with children in the past, however he can be particular about handling and can get growly and snappy, so a home with no young children is needed. The ideal home for Farley would be an adult home, with another female dog and the space to be inside or outside as he pleases in a safe fenced yard; he has jumped the fence at his fosters so a tall fence would be ideal.

Farley loves going on walks and he is a gentleman on leash, he does not pull, he just happily ambles along. If you are interested in meeting Farley please reach out and we can set up a time with his foster. We really need to find him a permanent home, his foster family is going out of town August 25th and we would hate for him to come back here as he did not do well in a shelter enviroment.

Farley’s adoption fee is 400$

Charlie

Description

Meet Charlie, Charlie will be going into his 7th month at the shelter. Charlie is a 6yr old male husky cross. He is a lovely, happy affectionate boy, but he does have some specific needs when it comes to finding him his perfect home. Charlie is dog reactive, and while we know he can live with other dogs, it would likely have to be a very particular dog with a long introduction, for this reason we feel he should be in a only dog home. His reactivity has calmed down somewhat since Missy has been adopted, but its still there. He is good to walk, and enjoys long hikes and runs, but I would say he may always need to on leash or a longline. He can be reactive to dogs passing him on the trail but he is controllable and easily redirected. We know he lived with a cat in a past life, so he may be fine with them again with proper introduction. Charlie needs to be in a home without kids. He has some body guarding habits around his feed being handled and he snapped at a child who accidently stepped on his foot. With people that he knows and trusts he is fine for having his feet lifted in and out of a harness and will offer shake a paw. But we think a quiet home where is the single dog would be best. We would also be happy to find a foster home for Charlie as well. Seven months in the shelter is too long. Lets get this boy a home.
