Hi, I’m Enzo! I’m a 3 year old mixed breed male. 

 

When I first got to the shelter I was afraid, unsure and skinny. They are slowly helping me gain some weight and some trust. I really crave love and attention but get uneasy when receiving it, it is just a lot for me to process! I can be quite scared around men and some women, especially through the fence. I will need my person to go slow with me and really build a bond with me. I am very food motivated, it makes it easier for me to trust you if you’ve got good snacks!

 

Likes: treats, people going slow with me

Dislikes: unpredictable movements and strangers

Cats: not tested

Dogs: I haven’t met many, proper introductions needed

Kids: over 12 please

Potty trained: mostly, I still have the occasional accident

Hi, I’m Everest! I’m a 3 year old mixed breed male. 

 

I’m a big goof ball! I’m a pretty easy going dog, once I give you some good sniffs to check you out, I want you to give me all the pets! I especially love getting my bum smacked, it’s my favourite. Despite being a big boy, I’m pretty gentle, even when taking treats from you. I can decide to be an escape artist, although I don't do it all of the time it is something my future family will need to be aware of as I'm settling in.

 

Likes: bum smacks, all attention 

Dislikes: not much!

Cats: no thank you

Hi, I’m Bolt! I’m a 1 year old mixed breed male. 

 

I’m an excitable, high energy little guy. When I see you, I get so excited I can sometimes mouth you a bit but it’s because I’m trying to pull you down to my level! Once you start playing with me, my attention can easily be redirected towards a toy. I really like playing tug and also playing fetch! Sometimes I forget that in order to have the ball thrown I need to drop it, I get stuck in the “no take only throw” mentality. I would do best in an active home so I can get the exercise I need!

 

Likes: playing tug, playing fetch

Dislikes: strangers initially

Cats: not tested but not likely

Hi, I’m Chicken! I’m a 3 year old domestic short hair male. 

 

I’ve really warmed up to the staff! I went from being very shy and reserved to feeling comfortable enough to talk to the staff. I've easily become the most outgoing out of the four of my siblings! I greet the staff every morning with my sisters, Ham and Pastrami. I'm the most vocal one of all my siblings. I am a goofy guy who needs to be in a home without other male cats, I'm the only guy you need!

 

I'm a bonded pair with my sister, Pastrami.

 

Likes: my covered bed, wet food

Dislikes: loud, unexpected noises 

Cats: female cats only please

Dogs: not tested but not likely 

Kids: quiet, older ones maybe

Longest resident alert! 🙁 I’ve been here since August of 2023!

 

Hi, I’m Groot! I’m a 3 year old mixed breed male. 

 

I’m the perfect mix of an outdoor companion and an indoor cuddlebug! I’m happy to go on a hike but I also am content to snooze the afternoon away on a couch with you. I’m calm and relaxed in the home after I’ve had my walks and I will lay down in my crate with no issues. I’m really snuggly and will crawl into your lap for cuddles. I’m very food motivated and eager to please! I need to build some confidence when it comes to my people leaving, I still need to know you’re coming back. With time and consistency I can overcome that! I just need someone to commit to me. I can be unsure of some men, you need to make sure you don’t lean over me and put your face in my face until I know you. Although I can be uncertain, after a good walk or two I can overcome that. I am not good with male dogs and need to be in a home without any but I am good with most female dogs!
