Quarter Pint - In Foster
Description
Quarter Pint IN FOSTER - please contact us to meet her Please read carefully, she needs a specific type of home. Quarter Pint is a small 2yr old bear dog cross. She is spayed and has been in foster for a few weeks. Quarter Pint came to us as one of the most shut down and terrified dogs we have had. She has undergone some behavioral rehab and is ready for her new home. When she came to us she spent the first 2 weeks in the back of her kennel growling, it took lots of time and patience and kindness to bring her around to realizing that people are not scary. However, she may always have challenges with new people and new experiences, she will likely always struggle with some things, like vet visits. In her foster she has been around cats, dogs, a chinchilla and horses. She shows a strong prey drive towards the chinchilla, and although she is ok with the cat, she will chase if it runs. She is fine with other dogs and loves to play. She has a strong desire to chase and bite at the horses so a home without small pets and livestock would be ideal. We do not think that Quarter Pint would be good with small children. Her ideal home would be a home that understands her past and would be willing to commit to continuing training and enrichment. She is an active dog, so an active home would be ideal as well. If you would like to set up a meeting with Quarter Pint, please reach out to us. Her adoption fee is 400$
